FITT Principle...

Analyze your current level of activity based on the FITT principle. In what areas are you doing well; and in what areas are you deficient?

F.... How often do you work out?
I.... At what intensity do you perform these activities/exercises?
T.... For what duration, how long do you perform these activities/exercises?
T.... What type of activities/exercises do you perform?

Based on your answers to FITT principle questions above, are you meeting the recommeded standards for each component of health related fitness? Explain...

Based on the F.I.T principle...i'm not quite there. I have a problem with how long i do an exercise. The duration, and everything else is pretty much there. Just lacking in the time and the frequency.

F- Beides gym class I work out every other day for a half-hour to an hour. Sometimes i get lazy and don't work out. I hope i become more consistant in the future.
I- I try and work out with high weight, low reps and a lot of sets. I was reading a book on weightlifting and they say it's best to take this approach to weightlifting.
T Bench press, Curls, pull downs, various rows, reverse curls, pec flys, and some leg excersises but not much.
T- I do each excersise for about 10 minitues.

F- I do excercise three times a week in school and rest of two times a week for do flexbility.

I- I start from lower weight and keep go up to heigher weight.(dumbell- from 8pounds to 15pounds)

T- I do excercise for 10 to 15minutes.

T- I do excercise such as dumbell bench press, dumbell curl, pull down, puch down, and seated rows etc.

F - I try to work out every week day for an hour and a half at night. Sometimes I don't get to go every night, but I go when i can.
I - I do these sets at high weight and high intensity.
T - I work out from an hour to two hours at night.
T - I do weight training with a little flexibility and cardio.

I'm not sure i'm doing enough cardio or flexibility, but otherwise yeah.

F... 3-4 days a week.
I...medium-relaxed in weight and in how fast pased i do it.
T... 1/2-1 hour.
T...raking, house work, walking, weights, flexibility, stationary bike and what ever else we do in life fitness.
For me it all depends on the season. In the fall I have soccer 5-6 days a week but now soccer is over. And now in November I can not ski yet (no snow)and it is too cold to do exercise at outside. So during gym class is the most I get to work out in a week or possible another day or 2 if I rake on a warm day.
I am short on how many days I exersise.But skiing could be that extra day I need.

F-Other then gym, I run 4 times a week.
I-Light runs and sprinting.
T-Usually anywhere from 30-35 minutes. Although i only do suicides for about 3 minutes...
T-I usually jog 3 days a week and try to sprint most of my run on that other day.
I guess I am doing okay. I could probably do something else like flexibility exercises.

F- i work out three or four times a week
I-I walk as fast as i can and i usually run as a general speed. not too fast or not to slow.
T- at least 30 minutes. usually close to an hour
T-First, i walk for 20 minutes and then i run for 20 minutes and until i get tired, i play basketball.

F. I usually go running once or twice a week and I play soccer with my brother too. But it's getting colder and I know I need to get better about being on a schedule.

I. I jog pretty fast. I don't kill myself but it's not walking by any means. I usually run 3 or 4 miles.

T. I am usually out for an hour. Maybe a little more.

T. I run mostly. I'm not sure if my shoulder excercises count but I do those every night.


No... I need to start doing more. I need to exercise more often. I should find something that I have fun doing because I feel like I don't enjoy exercising as much as I should.

According to the F.I.T.T. principle i mainly have trouble with the requiremnets o f time as in how many time s a week. I do not get in enough time during the week then anything else Frequency, Intensity, and Type i'm all there time is the only thing I have trouble with.

F- Since soccer has ended, i havent worked out outside of school. Im getting a gym membership soon though, so i can go early before school. extra credit maybe mr. V??? =]

When i workout in life fitness i usually lift according to the muscle groups of the day. 12 reps for each. 3x.

T- Through out the week, i walk alot. and i lift in life fitness according to the days muscle group schedule. Arms, shoulders, core, back, legs.

T- I workout 30 mins every otehr day. But soon to be more.

F-Besides class i work out 3 days a week..for about 1 hour.
I- I don't really lift weights, but i try to kep a steady speed on the eleptical and i just run.
T-sit ups//cardio..
T-cardio 30 min.. muscle 5 min each?

F-I work out five times a week but on really busy weeks it can be as little 3 times
I-I work at medium-heavy intensity but it can vary upon how i feel.
T-I do running, bike riding, weight training, and some stretching.
T-I work out for about an hour.

I think I'm pretty close to the recomended standard. Maybe I could be a little more consistent.
